How To Write A Google Places Review
In this article we'll show you how to add a review of a local business to Google places. We'll use the East End Boxing Gym as a well deserved example. Google places listings appear when we search for a local business. Google search "East End Boxing Melbourne" and you'll see the following:

Click on the map to show the listing in "Google Maps". Under "East End Boxing Gym" you will see a link to "Write a review". Follow this link.

A Google account is needed to write a review in Google places. After following the "write a review link, you will be asked to login to your google account, or create one. If you don't already have one it only takes a minute to do. It’s a good idea to list a secondary email that you use often to have the password sent to.
Once you are logged in the review page appears. Be descriptive with your review, let people know why you think a business is worth attention, and don't forget to click the star rating!

Google Places listings show up in Google searches when we use a business type and location in the search terms. This is a huge opportunity for local businesses to get exposure, but Google Places listings do not happen automatically.
